1An Act to create 84.02 (5) (d) of the statutes;
relating to: placement of certain
2stamps or labels on folded state highway maps.

Currently, the department of transportation (DOT) periodically publishes
folded state highway maps. DOT is required to distribute without charge 500 of
these maps to each officer and member of the legislature. Any officer or member may
request any number of additional maps, which DOT is required to provide without
charge.
This bill prohibits any officer or member of the legislature from distributing or
authorizing or causing the distribution of a folded state highway map that is stamped
or labeled to identify the officer or member.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

1. 84.02 (5) (d) of the statutes is created to read:

(5) (d) No officer or member of the legislature may distribute or authorize
5or cause the distribution of any folded highway map obtained under par. (c) that is
6stamped or labeled to identify the officer or member.
